A different kind of "green" St. Patrick's Day

What do you think of when you think of St. Patrick's Day? It's such a festive holiday that celebrates Irish heritage while simultaneously heralding the arrival of spring. Why is it that the only decor I can find in the stores are green leprechauns, dyed green carnations and a plethora of plastic green shamrock decor? Not a fan!! Here are a couple of beautiful arrangements that will bring some fresh style into your Irish theme and spring decor!
I love cabbage in floral arrangements. Use a regular vase and cover with greenery. A totally green bouquet. I love chartreuse and this trendy and modern all green bouquet. The bouquet of green flowers – roses, calla lilies, hydrangeas, bells of Ireland, and viburnum – is placed in a basic container that is covered entirely in Kelly green ribbon, further accentuating and complementing the overall Irish theme.

So this week I'm feeling like doing a "non-traditional" St. Patrick's day tablescape ~ stay tuned!!

  1. I agree! I did a similar post about how to make it a bit more sophisticated last year:

  2. I love how that pot is covered in ribbon...I've never seen that done before. I'm not a fan of St. Pat's stuff in the stores either. I'm anxious to see what you do for your tablescape.
