Desserts on a Dime

Do you know why I love this dessert table? Reese's Peanut Butter Cups! My all time favorite candy but seriously I really love the fact that this extremely busy mom used store bought items but made it look chic. This dessert table was created by Denise from Little Ant Design for her daughter's Sweet 16 party.
I love the bright colors! The use of file trays and pencil holders to display candy....pure genius! Love, Love, Love!!!! Also, can you believe the cakes in the trays are Little Debbie cakes....get out of town!!This is a great example of what you can achieve even on a budget.

I'm also loving the lollipops in the cupcakes! Too cute!

  7. Thanks ladies!
Baking momma, you can find the large swirl pops on www.orientaltrading.com for $5.99 for a dozen. They are 3 inches and come on 6 inch stick. (which are the size in the pencil container) The smaller swirl pops from Oriental Trading are $4.99 for a dozen. They are a 2 inch sucker on a 3 1/2 inch stick. (Like the ones found in the cupcakes) Hope this helps!

  8. I thought I recognized those containers as file holders, etc. Great use of something intended for something else! Love that. And yes, the colors are so bold and fun. Will be saving these ideas for a sweet 16 party I'll be doing later this year.

  9. This really is cute. The funny thing is that kids more often like the "store bought" stuff better than homemade anyway!
