Cirque Sweet 16 Part II

The VIP area was in the rear of the venue and was for Alejandro's (birthday young man) besties and family. I also put the cake back there in fear of someone running into it. This area had plush black leather couches and tons of floor pillows for the younger VIP guests. You can't see in this photo but there was also settees around the left wall for additional seating.
I just love this photo so I used it twice at this event...keep reading to spot where I used it again. It was the backdrop photo for the VIP area. There were 3 food stations in the VIP area.

Remember the purple chocolate I told you I order from Sir Chocolate here?
Picked a picture of Alejandro with plenty of writing space and made into poster for guests to sign in as they enter. You could totally do this for any party theme. The theme was Cirque de Alejandro like Soleil....get it?? So you know I had to bring on some really cool acts. I love this photo!! The birthday young man goes to a performing arts school and is an amazing dancer! Here is my favorite picture from his dance routine at the party. He is a Lady Gaga fanatic so this dance was to one of her songs. So of course I had to get Lady Gaga, right?? NO really it's not her .... we didn't have THAT kind of budget but this girl totally nailed her. The kids totally loved her!
Stilt Walker

This championship juggler was so good. He had two shows and kept the crowd in awe!

Strolling magicianI wanted fire dancers but wouldn't pass the fire marshal code! Rats! So thought that a fan veil dancer sounded very interesting and "cirque" like. This was the first time I have ever used a fan veil dancer. She was totally awesome and I will definitely find more reasons to hire her again! Okay, so I look really dorky in this photo! See the camera in my hand?? I was trying to take quick snapshots of my candy table when the professional photographer Amy told me....I got this go do what you do. I love her!!

  3. Wow...What kind of kid gets to have this kind of party? I would guess his friends would love it and be soooo...jealous at the same time.

  5. Love the poster idea! I'm trying to plan a quinceanera for my daughter and she just mentioned she would love to have a signature board somewhat like that. how did you do that?

    Our girls,
I made the poster at Costco! They even put it on poster board if you want. BTW, this week there is a $2 off coupon for poster. I'm all about the bargain!!
