Found this marble top side table at Goodwill. Yes, real marble! Love the marble top....hate the oak wood. It wasn't in the best condition plus doesn't go with the store decor. A few coats of gloss black spray paint....and viola a beautiful side table! I just felt like a historic home should have a fireplace...not that you really need on in Arizona but I just love fireplaces. So I went on the hunt...a Craigslist hunt that is. After a couple of weeks of searching I found the perfect one! Isn't it beautiful?? It was already this perfect creamy color. I also wanted a corner unit so not to take up a whole wall so this was absolutely perfect! Found the iron vase from Goodwill (aka Goody) for $8~I spray painted it the gloss black. Sorry no before picture but it was a bronze color. BTW, have you noticed my black floors??? I will be giving you the 411 on that later. Yes, I painted the linoleum!!Another Craigslist find was this lovely black sideboard. I just love it since my opening is on October 12th ~it's high time to start decorating (even though I still have 2 rooms to paint!) so I put out some Halloween decor.
Remember yesterday I talked about my Hobby Lobby pumpkin? Well, here it is....I LOVE it. I got the 3 small pumpkins at the 99 Cents store. Remember this Big Lots find? Well, silver spray paint this time and filled with Dollar Tree glitter skulls. The ceramic Boo sign came from the 99 Cents store. Sorry for pics quality...taken with my IPhone but makes life easier to just use it when your knee deep in renovations. Have so much more to share so stay tuned! The designer's challenge is over. Thanks so much for all of your entries!! I got over 50!! I am still going over them all and will be posting the 3 finalists in the next couple of days!
I love everything! And your pics are pretty good for an iphone. Can't wait for your opening!

ReplyDeleteYou're doing such a great job! I look forward to the store opening.
ReplyDeleteLovely! This is turning out so beautifully! My friends mom actually gave me about 10 of those mirrors with the gold frames in different sizes and I did exactly what you did and painted one black. It's HOT! :)
