Are you smarter than a fifth grader?

I have been searching the web for cake muses for an upcoming party that I am doing. I came across a competition in Austin, Texas that is called That Takes The Cake. I found the photos on Flickr. What amazed me is that the below cakes all came from children under 12?? I had to look up the rules...it states that the parents can help bake the cake but that is it. The child must do all the carving, icing and decorating themselves!
This cake was entered in the Junior 7 -12 category. UUMMM....I couldn't do this good if I tried! That is some perfect fondant icing!

This cake was in the Child 6 and under category. So that 6 and under child cut that cake and iced it and decorated it all by themselves?? Wow!
