Vintage Strawberry Shortcake

My friend Sheila had a Strawberry Shortcake party for her daughters' birthday. They are a year and a day apart and are Madison's besties! (So you know I had to help out in some way) Sheila wanted vintage Strawberry Shortcake-LOVE!

Sheila and I made strawberry jam and Sheila also made sugar free strawberry jam. We did a taste test with strawberry jelly from my refrigerator to the homemade one-no contest- the homemade one tasted so much better and fresher than the store bought one. Plus the color was totally different. Canning was really easy to do!!! Get together and have a canning party, really....it's awesome-this party theme is on my agenda of things to do!

I spray painted a Terra cotta strawberry pot pink and filled with strawberry cakepops.

Sheila had these plates from her daughters' last year birthday party. The runner using fabric from the fabric clearance store (only $2.99 a yard) and stitch witchery. Attached pink tulle to the back of the chairs.

My friend is a frugalista like me and she found these cute strawberry baskets at Ross for $4! I put a plastic cup filled with water and cut roses from the yard's rose bushes...can you say free!
These made adorable centerpieces.

The pink chocolate came from my favorite custom colored chocolate fountain fondue - Sir Chocolate! I heart them!

These next pictures were taken by photographer Lori from Captured! Photography. I either didn't photograph these items or her pics were way better~ go figure being a professional photographer and all! :)

I found these strawberry filled marshmallows at Walmart in the Easter section.

I will post more Strawberry Shortcake pics to include the cake to Maddycakes Muse FB page. You know how I like to give you sneak peeks and share pics that I only share with my FB peeps. Are you my FB friend?

We leave in a few hours for Mexico. We are taking the plunge and buying a condo on the beach. I could not be more excited. I have always wanted to own beach front property but thought it would only happen in my dreams. I am so blessed and thank God daily for my many blessings. I will be back on Sunday posting pics from the weekend.

Many blessings.
