It's my birthday and I just wanted to take out time to say thank you for visiting Maddycakes Muse. As many of you know, for 21 years of my life I was in the Marine Corps. I loved it but now I get to fulfill my passion. I have so much to be grateful for. I will be back tomorrow to show you my birthday breakfast. In addition to the party stuff I post this week, I am going to add one thing I am grateful for each day this week. Today, I am thanking God that I got the chance to take my dad to the Headquarter's Marine Corps Ball in Washington, DC. Earlier that day, I actually got to meet President George W. Bush at the White House and talk to him for a short while. The whole evening my father was so proud of me, you could just see it all over his face. A priceless memory and I'm so glad I took him. He passed away shortly after this day.
