Flower Party

(Click on photos to enlarge) A really cute flower party was submitted by Dana from Homemade from Scratch blog. BTW, I saw that cute frame in Hobby Lobby .... I really should have gotten that!! Dana made the cupcake toppers, banner, cupcake wrappers, and labels using her Circut. She also got her papers and supplies when Hobby Lobby had things for 50% off. (my kind of girl!)
Every child's party must have some candy, right?? I know parents must really love me after leaving my daughter's parties....lol. Maybe I should start giving out a toothbrush with the favors to make up for all of the candy I put out!
I LOVE THE CAKE!!!! Dana didn't want the usual cake so she bought glazed flower pots from Walmart and lined with Saran Wrap cling and placed a glass bowl inside and filled with a strawberry trifle. Her cousin made the K cookies and the flower cookies on a stick which she stuck in her cake~ they are gorgeous!! I love the cake....oh I said that already!!
Okay~I have tried to make dipped Oreo cookies like these....when I put my stick in the cookies, they always came apart or broke. I even tried double stuffed Oreos thinking I needed the extra filling. Please someone tell me how to do this without breaking the cookie when I insert the stick!! Thanks so much Dana for submitting this wonderful party. Many creative and cute things!!

  1. very sweet! I love the detail on the "K" cookies, but I guess I am partial to the Ks lol (p.s. never did the oreos, not sure if people open them, insert stick then reclose)

  2. Use double stuff Oreos and take them apart. Dip your stick in a little chocolate and place in center and put cookie back together. Let it set and them dip in chocolate. Thanks for featuring my daughters party!!!!

    Thanks
