Hottest Tablescape Trends

The Special Event conference is over! Saying I had a great time doesn't even come close to what I feel. I have gotten so many new "muses" to post. Today is our last day here- we are going to go shopping (of course) and sight seeing. As in fashion, there are always trends in event decor as well. 2010 is the year for all things sequins and bling! Lamps were also everywhere used as table decor and centerpieces. Here is my favorite tablescape using both hottest trends - bling and acrylic lamps. I absolutely think this table is gorgeous! I'm loving the silver, white and purple. The great thing is the lamps don't get hot and don't require wires. How perfect!
Even put bling on simple chair sash.
Repurposing Christmas silver ornaments. Saw a lot of additional pillows on chairs. Loving the mix of white glasses with the clear.

Not only did they mix the napkins but changed up the fold as well - clever. I need to pull out all of my brooches and start using as napkin rings. Plus I'm loving the B & B plates. (bread and butter)

Check out the spray painted silk flowers- see even designers use this technique!! The chair cover flowers have a rhinestone center.
More bling.

Another lamp I just fell in love with and great combo with the flowers. Can't say I ever thought about putting flowers on top of a lamp before. Tell the truth- have any of you ever put a scarf over a lamp for mood lighting- only to burn a spot on your scarf!!
There is an art to napkin folding- I need to learn it.

Can I have this table cloth please???
Are you digging the face on the chair cover- it even has rhinestone bling around the eyes.
Do you see the face on this one?? It took me a minute to "get" it. I thought it was a picture of ice.

So go forth and pull out all of your old sequin outfits (I know you have some) and bedazzlers and CREATE something FABULOUS!!

What are your favorites??

  1. Wow...these are a bit funky for me! They are very cool, but nothing I would imagine doing. My favorite thing...the tall vase with the purple flowers and I love the way they did the napkins banded with black on the gold tablecloth. I really like the white stemware. It would have been such fun to see these in person.
