First let me say that I had the most perfect day!! It is less than 7 days until we leave for New Orleans for
The Special Event where I am a speaker!!! I haven't mentioned that too much, have I??? I was checking in on one of my favorite blogs
Stem and to my surprise I was listed as one of Amy's top 10 "Go to" Sites. To say I was honored just isn't enough! I almost woke up my napping child with my
exhilaration!! I have so much passion for what I do and when people you have so much respect for in your business names YOU as someone they look at....then it makes you feel validated. I hope that makes sense...Thanks Amy! Then to top it off one of my favorite blogging friends Sue from
I need a Mom sent me my first award called the Sugar Doll award. I love the name! (Sue, I'll be posting my list of 10 things soon!)
Here are a few centerpieces that are budget friendly and creative. I know you have seen or used rock candy on your candy buffet tables. How about using it for a centerpiece as well? It's inexpensive and comes in so many colors to match any decor. The ball is styrofoam with matching jelly beans glued on.

Hang rock candy to mimic chandelier.

If you know me than you know I have a flair for the dramatic. Spray paint branches and poppy seed branches with gold spray paint. Fill vase with red garland and looks like you spent serious cash! For a less Christmas look, fill the vase with anything to match your decor - like shredded tissue paper, fruit, colored rocks from pet supply store, etc..... plus spray paint comes in every color imaginable.

Packing and duct tape come in so many patterns and colors. You can use them in so many different ways. I LOVE damask so much!!!!

Wrap a $ Tree vase with packing tape, add some stick on rhinestones, ribbon and flowers for a beautiful centerpiece. Of course you need to add colored water as well.
You're so cute. And fabulous.
ReplyDeleteThat first picture looked like standard store bought gift bows in my small thumbnail. The rock candy looks awesome and now I'm also dying to try it out with bows. Those could be really fun for a birthday celebration, dontcha think?!
You're going to be awesome at TSE!
Congrats on your blog honors! You do such a great job keeping us entertained and amazed with your creativity!
ReplyDeleteI love the rock candy chandelier! And using it in the glass fish bowl would be perfect for an Under The Sea party. So cute!
I'm such a fan of the black, hot pink, and white combination, so you know I adore the last centerpiece!
Congrats on the blog mentions! And FYI...you're one of my "Go To" Bloggers also! :)
ReplyDeleteI love that first picture. I don't even know where around here to find rock candy...but that looks amazing.
ReplyDeleteNew Orleans is such a fun place, you are going to have a great time and stories to tell. The food...oh, the food! I haven't been in years.

Love the use of rock candy as a centerpiece. Found you from stem parties. Consider me a follower.
ReplyDeleteI really love the rock candy centerpieces. I am getting married and that would be an awesome centerpiece to use. Would you be able to tell me exactly how you made it?
ReplyDeleteHow much rock candy did you have to use to make this? It is hard to estimate how much a pound will fill. Thanks?
