Tablescape Thursday- Halloween Simplescape

I look forward to Wednesday so I can put together another tablescape! Thanks to Susan from Between Naps on the Porch. This week, is another Halloween tablescape that I call simplescape because it took no crafting at all to put this one together.
The witches hat is on an upside down vase with 2 skulls stacked on one another. I wanted to use mainly black with just a few pops of the color orange. On the plate is just a $ Tree flower with a pumpkin glued in center. An initial notebook with pen does double duty as a party favor as well as an initial namecard.
I used a $ Tree Styrofoam tombstone as my charger. The broom I got last year from JoAnn's for about $1 after Halloween. I just tied the napkin around the broom and stuck silverware in. I really don't like for a plain napkin to just simply sit to the left side of the plate. I really like to think of creative ways to display it.

I couldn't get a good picture of the skulls in the glass vase so I just made it black and white. That's as far as my photo editing skills go!

I used a $ bin frame from Michael's to display pictures of guests. Bonus if they are in a previous Halloween costume. (I don't know that little girl in pic... found in magazine - thought it worked since she was wearing a witches hat) LOL

Turned a $ Tree candle holder upside down and added skeleton hands and skeleton face. Put glass on top and added black marabou just for a little softness. Plus if you notice, I also added it on the bottom of the tombstone.

That is it for my simplescape. Thanks for looking and please leave a comment. I look forward to hearing from you!

  1. Maddy, maybe your photo editing skills are limited but your imagination sure isn't!!! All these little touches are brilliant!

I am going to benchmark (copy) the idea of the notebook for a placecard/favor the next time I have a group of ladies visit. Who doesn't need a new notebook for their purse??

    Very, VERY creative, Hon!
I'm going to send my sister, who lives in AZ, a link to your site. She may be able to drum up a little business for you. She LOVES to Parteeeee!
