Need A Princess??

By far the most requested party I get from my children party business is my Signature Princess party! Every little girl loves to play dress up and become princesses! Not until being a speaker at SNAP did I realize that many of you really would like some of my "insider" tips and tricks! Well, I will start sharing more of my tricks and parties with you. SO you are having a princess party and your little girl wants a princess? To hire one it can run you up to $150! Want to know what I do???

Buy yourself some Rit Dye...it comes in every color of the rainbow and then some! Go buy you a used wedding gown.....with no train please! I find mine either at Goodwill or on Craigslist. Better deals at Goodwill though! I should have taken a picture when it was still white...sorry! I simply put the gown in my washing machine and add the dye. Let the washing machine do all the work for you.

This will be used as a Belle dress....hence the yellow.  :) Yes, the embroidery gets darker than the dress but I actually like it that way. Different materials dye differently but I have never met a little girl yet who noticed!
I don't put the dresses in the dryer~ I hang dry...as you see now. Ask a teenager to be your princess...you will be surprised how much they love dressing up too!
Dress ~ $29.99 at Goodwill
Rit Dye- $1.79 at Wal-Mart
Having a Princess meet your Princess......Priceless!

  2. Hi Michelle, Your dress looks great! I once asked a girl from our neighborhood to be the "Fingernail Fairy" at my granddaughter's party. She painted the little girl's nails & it was a big hit. Here's the link if you want to see it:

  3. Love this! After you do the dye, do you have to do anything with your machine? Or does the dye wash out when it rinses?

    1. Just to be safe I run it again with no clothes with bleach.
