Alexandra wanted to do things on a budget so used things she already owned and some DIY craft skills...oh, my kind of girl! For added decor hung patterns on twine with clothspins. Added paint and glitter to the SEW letters from JoAnns. Added girls names to the gift bags-simple and sweet!
Since there were many crafts going on, kept food simple and easy.
She cut sewing machines from foam board, added paint, glitter and trim and hung from ceiling and on the front door...HOW CLEVER!! Also cut thread spool shapes from cardboard and wrapped yarn around them and hung from ceiling...GENIUS!!
3 sewing machines were set up for the girls to make their own personalized pillows.
LOVE the paper dolls on cardboard! This station the girls designed clothing for their paper doll!
Also a headband making station where the girls learned to sew on a button.
Used a sewing photo frame as a cake topper. L-O-V-E!
She found sewing charms on Ebay (for only $3.99 for 10 charms-wow) to give to girls as favors. What a special way to remember this day. Sewing is such an art that I hope to see a huge comeback as a popular hobby with the younger generations~I'm definately putting Maddy in sewing classes! I love handmade and homemade items. Thanks Alexandra for letting me share this sew perfect party!
Did you vote today??? Thanks my peeps.
Love this party! I love that it is so "homemade" and not everything was "purchased". It has charm and personality. Wish I was a guest!
ReplyDeleteSuch a charming party (love all the sewing & button details)! And best of all how actual simple crafts were included for the party guests to do!
