Dollar Store Creation~Cupcake Wrappers

Have you seen these beautiful laser cut cupcake wrappers. They are so intricately cut and just wrap around your cupcakes to make them beautiful. Perfect for weddings, baby showers, tea parties...any fancy celebration. These particular "couture" cupcake wrappers cost $59.90 for 24 wraps! Well, I was in my local Dollar Tree when I spotted the "ole" paper doilies and thought it would be perfect to recreate this look.

No measuring ~ just cut out a circle using the pattern on doilie as my guide.
I got 3 wraps per doilie sheet then just used double sided tape to secure around cupcake. (A package would have made 72 wraps for ONE Dollar people!) SO EASY!!!
Viola! I know it's not "couture" or laser cut but I think it looks nice. In honor of St. Patrick's Day ~ I made Lucky Charms cupcakes. Just tinted my buttercream frosting with green food coloring and sprinkled on Lucky Charms cereal. Sometimes you can find various colors of the paper doilies in the Dollar stores- this would have been even more perfect with a gold doilie! Hope you enjoy~ Maddy did!

    Ok so I have to tell you I have been following you for a bit. But before I started following I would come by everyday and check out your work. I wanted to tell you that I love your work. You are very resourceful and a great inspiration. No matter what you do if its dollar store item or a second hand item you always make it look like a million bucks. You rock keep doing what your doing!!!! BTW I love these cupcake wrappers I need to try this oone day.
