Simple luncheon

I had to say goodbye to someone who I love today. Ironically tomorrow (in a couple of hours) I am leaving for my vacation. It is comforting in knowing that someday I will see my loved ones who have gone on before me again. Short post tonight. I'm looking forward to this vacation break and I'm sure I will have tons of new "muses" from my travels to share with you all.
This simple luncheon was with a few girlfriends . Each of my friends has a daughter and they had their own table and we had ours.
The centerpiece is filled with kiddie mix. I had it laying around the house left over from Halloween! LOL I got the daisies (my favorite flower) at Michael's.
I hope you can see that the napkin rings are butterflies- got from Target and the plates have butterflies on them as well- got from The HomeGoods store.
On each plate I put an little notebook with each friends first initial as place cards. Got from the dollar bin at Michael's - they matched perfectly.
Menu was simply fruit, crackers, cheese, tuna salad, chicken salad, deli wraps, and gourmet cookies (which I found in the food section of Marshall's- I love looking down that aisle). Sometimes the best times are just ones with no hype and stressing over every detail. I used what I had already owned at home and enjoyed the day with my girls!
Blessings and the next time you read a post from me.....I WILL BE IN THE TURKS/CAICOS ISLANDS!!
