Easy and Inexpensive 4th of July Centerpiece

4th of July is tomorrow....I can't believe it! This year is going by so fast! I saw this picture of paper lanterns as centerpieces in Better Homes and Gardens a few weeks ago. I totally love it! So easy and festive. Simply slip paper lanterns over glass vases (or plastic cups) of water and fill with coordinating flowers. This was the muse for my simpler and cheaper version.
I got the lanterns from Dollar Tree and filled with artificial flowers to withstand the Arizona heat. The lantern has a plastic base which keeps it weighted down and to stand upright. I just cut the flowers and put inside. SO EASY and it cost me $2!!
I love using buckets & baskets for everything! Love this to keep your ice pops, sodas and fireworks handy!
