DIY Candy Jars
I just added the felt flower with double sided tape because it match my other table decor. I used tape so I can take it off easily and use this jar for another time.
Love this idea! I usually save jars, too, but I do have a question: How do you get the pickle smell out of pickle jars? It seems like even after going thru the diswasher cycle and sitting with the lids off, they still smell pickle-y! Any advice? Thanks!

First, wash the jars well in hot, soapy water and rinse completely. Then pour in a solution of equal parts vinegar and water (or make a paste of baking soda and water and apply with a sponge to the inside of the jars). Let stand overnight with the lids off. Rinse, dry, store with the lids off, and that should do it.
ReplyDeleteAdorable!
ReplyDeleteThanks so much for the advice! I emptied a pickle jar yesterday, I'll try it!
