This weekend Maddycakes has no parties so my hubby surprised me with a staycation. We are going to a beautiful resort in Scottsdale for the 4th. What a special treat. I am so blessed to have such a wonderful husband. Speaking of blessed, after retiring from the Marines~ I left so many wonderful and close friends. It is strange to me that I have started so many friendships with people I have never met through blogging. I am new to blogging~ it will be one year August 25th. Amy from Stem was the first person to feature my little blog with only a few followers~Maddycakes Muse. Amy is not only super duper talented beyond words...she is a jewel of a person. I have blogged several times of her dedication to Operation Shower. I love, love, love Amy's work. She is very creative, original and has many frugalista party and entertaining ideas. how fun! where are you staying? my hubby & I stayed at the Montelucia two weekends ago & it was FAB-U-LOUS! amy is amazing-I admire her tremendously! enjoy your weekend! :)
ReplyDeleteWe are staying at the Hyatt Regency Scottsdale Resort & Spa at Gainey Ranch.We haven't stayed at this resort before. I guess it is quite new. We have stayed at the Montelucia before and we loved it too. Isn't it awesome to have so many beautiful resorts and spas right in our backyard!! I love it and we take weekend staycations at least 5-6 times a year. So fun...you feel like you are really on vacation!Thanks for the note and I plan on getting plenty of sun by the pool and a MASSAGE!!!
