Dollar Day Creation #7

I had a leftover $ Tree frame from Dollar Day Creation #3 so wanted to use it. I saw these glass stones in $ Tree today and knew they would work to snazzy up my fish scales frame. I already had the gold spray paint. I spray painted the frame gold and glued on the glass beads using craft glue. I love how the frame turned out.

This is the last picture I have with my dad. This picture was taken at his 75th Birthday Gala. No, I didn't plan it but I did do the centerpieces ~I had to do something! My dad passed away about a year and a half after this picture was taken. Actually, I was pregnant with Maddy at the time and didn't know so never got a chance to tell him. I was very blessed to be by his side when he took his last breath. The pictures don't show how beautiful this frame is. The flash makes the glass stones appear white but they don't look that way. This was such an easy project and I can't believe the glass stones fit perfectly. You could add ribbon, flower, and various embellishments but I like it just the way it is.I had such a lovely holiday with my family. Watching Madison on Christmas day made me really miss my mom and dad. They are both gone now and I miss them every day. Maddy will never know how wonderful her grandparents where but I know that they are in a better place. It's just hard for us here on Earth. As the New Year begins, I want to commit to take more time to tell those who I love that I love them. I don't do that enough. Life on this earth is too short so take time for the simple things and make as many memories as you can.
Happy New Year!

  1. What a great idea!

That is a wonderful photo with your dad. I'm sorry that they aren't here to enjoy your precious one. Being a grandparent is such fun, I know they would have loved it.

Just wanted to tell you I spent my Ulta card in Florida. I went in to buy some makeup...but, they had a sale on the Homedics Shiatsu Massage Chair seat. It was $49.99. It heats up and massages up and down your back...love it! Thanks to you!!

Happy New Year! I really appreciate your friendship!
