Tablescape Thursday-A black and white Halloween

Sorry I'm a little late this week! Thanks again to Susan from Between Naps on the Porch for hosting Tablescape Thursday! I saw a gorgeous silver skeleton tablescape at Z Gallerie but it was very expensive. So off to Dollar Tree - I found a silver skeleton...not quite the same but it works. I love black and white and decided that this would work good with the silver. Halloween is a time you can decorate over the top and tacky and it is okay. So have fun and don't try to be too cute!! This is an old broken candelabra that I was going to throw away but now I use for Halloween decorating. I embellished with $ Tree skeletons, black candles, black crows and Halloween garland that I got after Halloween for 25 cents.

I got 8 rolls of this black and white paper on clearance at Ross for only $2.50. I have been using it for so many things! I used the paper under the charger, around the glass on candles and around napkins.
I put rhinestone stickers on bone from $ Tree for namecard.
I added skeleton with utensils.
I cut out a spider using contact paper. So easy because it is self adhesive and comes right off when done.
I got the glass container, beads and candle from $ Tree. I glued the paper around glass, then adhered the beads! Easy, cheesy but I think it turned out cute. You could use this even for an elegant affair!
I hope you enjoy my take on a non-Traditional Halloween. All the month of October, I will feature Halloween or fall tablescapes so please come back and visit.
Don't forget, I am running a giveaway!! Since I am new to blogging, I am trying to get followers. So for every 50 followers Maddycakes Muse gets- we will have a drawing! The first giveaway is for a $50 giftcard to Target! So become a follower for a chance to win!!

  3. Your spiders really freak me out but I LOVE what you did with the $ Tree candle. I'm making a note about that. It could really be used for any tablescape in various colors. Thanks for the idea!
