I can't believe it's been a year and tomorrow is my Blogoversary. It looks like I'm not going to reach my 1,000 followers by my birthday goal (my birthday was August 14th) however I'm so happy and blessed to have the many followers that I have. I am truly grateful that anybody finds my "crazy and thrifty" ideas worth looking at. So since there aren't any winners of the Tiffany Necklace, I still want to celebrate my BLOGOVERSARY with a giveaway! I LOVE comments and although I don't respond to them all-just not enough hours in the day- I promise you that I read every one of them on my IPhone all day long! LOL
I would like to get to know you better so please leave a comment on why you blog and what your blog is about. If you don't have a blog~ comment on why you read blogs and your favorite blog besides Maddycakes Muse of course! Keeping the gift a secret until tomorrow-don't want to spoil the fun of you unwrapping it on my blogoversary!

ReplyDeleteAs for my blog...it has taken a few turns along the way, but I still try to offer suggestions on entertaining, decorating and cooking that anyone can do. I sometimes get caught up in the truly elegant tablescapes and fancy recipes (which I actually could do) but I try to remember that I want to speak to everyone, not such a select few. So...I tend to speak honestly from the heart, admit my limitations, add a little humor and hope that I make a few friends along the way. I love to write...what more can I say?

ReplyDeleteI have an addiction to any and everything relating to event planning, and the inspiration and tips I get by reading blogs like yours is AMAZING. I cant always rationalize it to myself to spend the $500+ to attend event conferences and workshops across the country, but signing online and reading these blogs have worked just as well in my opinion. I find that every event I have a chance to work on is better than the next because I am always able to use an idea I've seen in blogland, or use that idea to create my own special details.

I only have a family blog that is for our out of town relatives. They love everyday updates and I feel like it's a job to keep them informed! :) I am a blogaholic though and love to look at them as soon as my babies are sleeping and the "chores" are done. I love love love planning parties and will use any excuse to have one. I get so much inspiration and ideas from the blog world, especially yours!
