What are you thankful for?

Thanksgiving is 2 weeks away and everywhere I go I see Christmas!! I went to Hobby Lobby today and all fall things were 60% off. It seems like after Halloween, Thanksgiving is skipped and we go straight to Christmas. There are so many things and people in my life that I am thankful for so when I saw this picture in Family Fun magazine and thought it was a neat idea. Give everyone at your Thanksgiving table a 4 with I'm thankful on it and everyone has to write down on the back what they are thankful for. Go around the table and each person tells what is written.
One tradition that I started is for everyone to pick a name and go around the table and tell why you are thankful for that person.
Now it is your turn, please leave a comment and tell why you are thankful. To make it more challenging- it can't be about your family, friends, or good health. The answer I like best will win something fabulous. I'm not going to tell you what it is- you must have faith!

  1. You are making this difficult. I'm going with something a bit selfish. I'm thankful that I decided to start blogging. I'd been writing for 3 years somewhere else and I was burnt out. The blog was meant to maybe help others with a few ideas and hints that I've learned along the way to middle age. I didn't realize how much it would help me. I have a renewed interest in "playing with my dishes" and my food. I am creating relationships with other bloggers and learning and laughing every day. I was in a rut and I'm very thankful for the joy I'm finding in Blogland.

  2. With everything going on in the world, its nice to find some peace in the things you love. Now that you've taken family and friends out of the equation, one thing that does leave is my love for event planning. Its been an interest of mine for some time now, and I never really even considered making it into a career until people kept telling me how much I had an eye for design and detail. I've always been the one on the committee for holiday parties, and never could just settle for crepe paper, chips, and dip at a get together. Keeping up with blogs such as this one, also helps to inspire and feed my passion for my business, and I hope to be doing as well as some of my favorite planners in a few years. So to answer your question, I'm most thankful for staying focused on my goals, no matter what craziness is going on in the world! I'm currently 3 classes away from a degree in business management, and slowly, but surely, making my dream become reality!
