First project ~ a Welcome to Kindergarten wreath.
I started with a some foam core board from Dollar Tree and used a paper bowl and plate to make my wreath form.
I hot glued 2 boxes of pencils that I got from Dollar Tree on the back.
Turned it over and glued crayons on the front. I have hundreds of crayons no need to purchase more!
I spray painted a wooden frame and printed out Welcome to Kindergarten and glued on.
Embellished with a apple, crayon, and ribbon.
Viola, easy back to school wreath using products on hand and $3 spent at Dollar Tree! A great way to welcome the new Kindergarteners to the play date! Since it gets over 100 degrees here in Phoenix, this wreath will not be going up until right before the play date! I don't know what temperature it takes to melt crayons but I don't want to find out!

Love it!! You are such an inspiration!!!

DeleteVery Cute. I went threw the same think last year with Bailey Starting K. Strap on your shoes and enjoy the ride. It's exciting and scary but most of all fun.
ReplyDeleteMiss you friend!
DeleteI've been reading and loving your blog for awhile now. You have the best ideas! I luv this wreath!
ReplyDeleteIt turns out we have something in common - 5 year old little girls who will be starting Kindergarten on Aug. 6th! Their b-days are even close (my dd's is April 10th). I'll have to pass you a virtual tissue, because I'm afraid an ugly cry might be coming when dd starts the big K. Thankfully my hubby will be coming with when we drop her off at school, so if I can't hold it together till she gets safely in her classroom, I've got back-up.
I pray both of our babies have a fantabulous 1st day of Kindergarten!
Oh La Monica! I wish my hubby could come with me to school on her first day!!! Madison is already saying that she doesn't need to go to Kindergarten cause she knows everything already! LOL Chat with me on FB on August 6th ....OK?? I just might really need support! :)
DeleteWill do! Mommies gotta stick together!
DeleteCutest idea ever! Hugs and blessings, Cindy
