Prizes for Easter/Spring Contest

1st Place PrizeI LOVE my Cricut!! It has been such a wonderful thing to have for party decor, scrapbooking, vinyls for my daughter's playroom and room walls, etc. It is awesome! I love the fact that you don't have to have a computer to use it. The personal size one is also very portable! If you already have one or another system...this would be a awesome gift for someone! I know that you will love this prize as much as I do!!

2nd Place Prizes
$100 gift certificate for posh party supplies and gifts from Smidge and Pinch

I get so tired of running around all over town looking for unique party supply items. I much rather order from online. Plus I don't want to hear someone say ...oh I saw that at Hobby Lobby! I love it when I find awesome sites with unique party supplies. You must take a look at Smidge and Pinch's posh party supplies. Some of my favs are all of the zebra party items and the shoe cupcake toppers! Too cute!

3rd Place Prizes

$50 gift certificate for party printables from Paper & Pigtails and

20 custom cake pops from Heavenly Cake Pops (depending on design retails for $60+)
I just love printables and Kori from Paper & Pigtails is phenominal. She is such a sweet and wonderful person. I really love all of her collections and I know you will too! Printables makes your party look custom. You won't find her original designs plastered all over the party stores so your party will be unique!

Super Hero Party

My buddy and fellow party planner extraordinaire Monique has done it again with a super hero party for her adorable son Bailey. I heart this backdrop she made for her candy/trinket table. Monique glued 3 large pieces of Styrofoam together and glued glittered card stock with super hero logos on it. In the center she decoupaged a smaller version of the logo onto a paper mache 5.

She used the same technique on the cylinder and paper mache 5 found at Hobby Lobby.

Love these DIY super hero kits for the kiddos from Sew Plain Jane.

Love, love, love the decoupaged Bailey letters for the kiddos table! To view more of this super hero party head over to Enchanted Expectations here.

Found these adorable super hero lollipops to go with these theme over at Poca Cosa. FCheck Spellingree template for these super hero lollipops can be found at Zakka Life click here.
Have a super day my peeps!

Gender Reveal Party

I love the baby shower hot trend theme of gender reveal parties! I really wish this theme was "in" when I was pregnant. Many gender reveal parties color palettes are blue and pink. However, I love this party uses a baby gender neutral color of orange. Even the parents didn't know what the sex of the baby was. They took the ultrasound results straight to the baker without looking at it! So the cake would either be blue or pink. (I don't have that much self control- I would have peeked at results or licked off all the icing to see what color the cake was!)
Budget friendly use of scrapbook paper for place mats. I'm loving that that the mom to be mixed up the papers just kept them all in the same color palette. The tissue pom pom napkin rings really makes the table pop plus keeps everything looking cohesive.

Details are the difference between a good party and a great one. I love the orange sugared champagne flutes for the milk.

Love, love, love the photo garland made from the progression of ultrasound photos.

Must have a voting station at a gender reveal party! What a great surprise for all when mom and dad cut open the cake to see what gender their baby will be! In this case it was a girl-the parents to be had already selected a name for a girl and boy so they also revealed the name of the child to guests. How perfect!

If you follow Maddycakes Muse on Facebook, then you are aware that Maddycakes had a full weekend. Between having events and me and Maddy not feeling well, I have gotten behind so will have to keep you in suspense a little longer for the Easter/Spring Contest details!!

Balloons and Bunting

Balloons are inexpensive and if used properly can create quite a statement as seen here on this balloon wall. I ordered this cowgirl cake bunting from Blu Embellish Etsy shop tonight for Madison's Toy Story birthday party. I am really into cake bunting right now....I know I'm late! Some things have to marinate in my brain for a while. :)

Just plain cuteness!
Will be announcing the Easter/Spring Party contest this weekend!! HUGE prizes with awesome judges....I'm so excited!!

St. Patrick's Day centerpiece /Easter contest Info

When I was much younger (and single), I have fond memories of going to Savannah, Georgia to celebrate St. Patrick's Day on River Street! CRAZY!! It's more like a New Orleans Mardi Gras! Now that I'm seasoned in age, married and have Madison~the craziest thing I will be doing is making this adorable centerpiece from Jesse Kate Designs! I love the rainbow!! The tutorial is here. Maddy and I have the flu and I've been vertical for about a day! I can't stand it...I'm the type of girl who can never sit still. I am totally stressing about my weekend parties especially because the 2 events are both custom and will take me to do it all. The good thing is I have been catching up on my emails and some administrative work.
Remember Maddycakes Muse Spring and Easter Contest last year?? Well, the 2nd annual contest will be announced this week with 5 new judges (there are just so many great blogs and party gals out in blogland!) and HUGE prizes! STAY TUNED!

Valentine's Tea Party

Here is the little Valentine's tea party for Maddy and her best friends. If you are looking for a "styled" party...a party designed for photos then this is not it. LOL I don't do parties for photographs (as I call them) unless I was getting paid for it to go into a magazine! :) As you know my life is extremely hectic with running a business, weekend parties and just being a mom! However, I try my best to take out time to create memories for my daughter as often as I can.
The girls loved decorating their Valentine heart shaped cookies. I haven't met a kid yet that doesn't love to decorate cookies and cupcakes...and then eat them of course. Note: my daughter has on a blue shirt then changes to pink...why you ask??? (picture to follow)
Here is Madison's creation. (I took off many sprinkles when she wasn't looking). Don't have a picture but she was wearing more icing than her cookie hence the shirt change!
Here are the girls at their tea table. Madison was so excited to have tea with her "besties". Remember those stands I made from my Breakfast at Tiffany's birthday party? If not, check out here and here. The sun was in their eyes so we had to get out an umbrella to shade them. So sorry if it's still cold where you live! :(
A fruit centerpiece with apples and strawberries dipped in chocolate. What is more Valentine's then chocolate? Don't you just love the Owl tag from Paper and Pigtails. This printable collection is awesome great for a baby shower and birthday as well ~ plus it's editable! You can put your own custom sayings on them! AWESOME!! I had made some really cute personalized tags with each girl's name to go on their take out container but no pic...sorry! I was enjoying the girls, the sunshine and my buddy (the girl's mom). Printables make it so quick and easy to personalize your party/event. I love them so!!
The Nutella and marshmallow heart sandwich (the girls called them a Smore's sandwich) was too cute but being mom....I just couldn't see wasting the ends!! Not so "stylish" on plate but not being wasteful!
The cotton candy was a special treat. I really don't like giving my child pure sugar! :)

I made these treats for Madison's friends to take home and for Maddy to have at home to eat after tea party.

I got these take out containers after Valentine's last year from Michael's for 80% off.
Mini cupcake and cookies for take home as well.

Happy Valentine's Day

Happy Valentine's Day my peeps! I hope you all have a wonderful and love filled day. I love these mini cupcakes from Hello Cupcake that are in a heart shaped box. I can honestly say I've never ate a box of chocolates but I could eat all of these mini cupcakes. The "chocolate truffles" on top are just chocolate covered marshmallows. The mini cupcakes are simply decorated with chocolate frosting and decorated with candy hearts, red candy corn or any Valentine's candy.

Today would have been Madison's first Valentine's day at her preschool. Of course you know I have all 12 of her Valentine boxes ready to hand out to her class. Unfortunately, my baby is running a high fever and I've been working all night to keep it down. So off to the pediatrician this morning. She was feeling well on Saturday and we did have her sweet Valentine's tea with her 2 "besties". I will post pics as soon as I can.

Special Day

I am planning a special day for my little Maddy on Saturday. I decided this just yesterday (Wednesday). She is always watching mommy prepare for other kid's parties and asks when is her party? I feel so guilty at times because I feel that I don't give her enough quality time. I really try to balance my business with being a mommy. Madison goes to preschool from 8-11:30 am on Valentines day ~ I'm going to have a "Special" Valentines day on Saturday. I want to make these heart and arrow pancakes from Jim's Pancakes. He added strawberry jelly to pancake batter for the heart and cocoa for arrow. I know you've seen this mini cupcake fondue station floating around blogland. I think this would be a cute addition to any kiddos party. So for Madison's impromptu Valentine's tea, I think this is a must!

I have a big party tomorrow (Friday) at Maddycakes so this only leaves me tomorrow night to pull this tea together. I have been working on my Friday party so haven't had any time to do anything for Maddy's tea. Let's see what I can pull off in an evening of preparation!?
