Here is a really unique color combination for Thanksgiving! Only the amazing , most talented Eddie Ross would find a purple plaid Tartan wool blanket at Goodwill and immediately think Thanksgiving! (I think I have this blanket somewhere in my blanket collection. My family can attest-I'm always cold so until I moved to Arizona I would keep blankets in baskets everywhere throughout my home for a quick snuggle)
Aren't these centerpieces cute and easy to make. White pumpkins, walnuts and cranberries in white dishes. Love the purple candles that bring out the stripe in blanket.
Loving the purple glasses- I have always thought of the use of amber glasses during Thanksgiving but now I'm rethinking my possibilities! There is so much color and pattern in the tablecloth that keeping the dishes, napkins and flatware simple and neutral makes this work.

I would never have thought to do this and yet it really works. I love white pumpkins. I think we are just going to be 2 this year. How strange for us...but, we go with the flow as our kids grow up. I don't know if we will even sit at the table. We may just curl up in our sweats in front of a good movie.

Something that I enjoy using at holiday time (which would tie in nicely to this table setting): Place a crystal bowl filled with some fresh cranberries and water (the cranberries will float) on a sideboard or buffet. Then add a few floating candles in a coordinating color. I found a lovely snowflake candle that burns cranberry & floats nicely...Voila! Another inexpensive but elegant accent to add to the holiday festivities.
