DIY Garland

I just love this ball garland found on Martha Stewart Weddings. Who doesn't love Martha???
The garland is made out of spray painted foam balls and strung together with fishing line. How clever and an inexpensive project! Change the colors and it could fit for any event. Okay, my crafty ladies and gents, how did they get the fishing line through the balls?

  1. Hmmm...my only guess is that they used a really long, skinny needle threaded with the fishing line? I love the way they used the cake stands, too.

  2. That would be my guess too, and darning needle or something? It is a clever idea.

  3. Thanks Ladies,
I'm going to try it and let you know the results. Hopefully I won't stab myself with the LONG needle!

  5. A long needle works! I have done a project similar to this before. I think it was a large upholstry needle if I recall. Be careful though, if you are using cheap (which I was, dollar store!) styro foam balls, they can split. Carli
